Bugfix Update

A few hours after the 0.8 Beta1 announcement was posted a regression was reported in the package manager due to which you might be seeing an ERROR message while installing:

ERROR: The following packages not found in any catalog: SUNWgnome-print SUNWgnome-print-root

The package manager spkg (SFEspkg) has been fixed, so just re-running  pfexec ./install_belenix -reinit  should automatically pull in the latest package.

BeleniX 0.8 Alpha release using Network Installer

There is an Alpha release of BeleniX 0.8 available that can be
installed directly off the package repo via a network installer. There
is no LiveCD release yet, that will come later. The network installer
can be used if you are already using OpenSolaris 2009.xx or BeleniX
0.7.1. It will install 0.8 Alpha into a new boot environment leaving
your current BE untouched. While booting you will get a GRUB menu
option to boot into this environment.

OpenSolaris base Build 111 available in repository

An updated build of OpenSolaris B111 is available in the BeleniX repository. The earlier B107 drop had a couple of problems that are fixed in this build:

These are fixed in the latest drop. You can use 'spkg upgrade base belenix0.7.1_b111' to upgrade.
